Square Enix isn’t just bringing back the hugely popular Queen’s Blood card game from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in the upcoming Remake Part 3 — they’re powering it up. Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the tactical collectible card game, praised as one of Rebirth’s standout minigames, will return in an expanded and “enhanced” form in the third installment of the remake trilogy. Rather than simply porting it over, the development team wants to give players a more robust and upgraded experience, building on the core mechanics that made the minigame so addictive while potentially adding new features or depth.
Beyond Queen’s Blood, Hamaguchi also touched on other fan-favourite content like the original game’s snowboarding segment, indicating it won’t just be a throwaway minigame but integrated more meaningfully into the story. He also shared that development on Part 3 is progressing smoothly, with the team tracking well toward milestones and polishing the game before setting a release date. These updates suggest that the final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy is shaping up to deliver both fan service and fresh twists on beloved gameplay elements.
